The clock is ticking: We need to act now
Our government says that housing is a priority for them. As it well should be.
But in a country as prosperous as Canada, 5 million people should not be worried about paying their housing costs next month.
There has to be urgent and substantive action from the federal government to address the scale of the housing crisis being experienced by millions of Canadians.
Vote Housing is advocating that our government a) understands the real scope of the problem and b) chooses proven policies to solve them. We have released our Action Plan for Parliament that outlines an achievable path for federal leadership on ending homelessness and addressing housing need.
