5,000,000 PEOPLE IN CANADA WORRY ABOUT MAKING RENT ON OCTOBER 1st.

5,000,000 PEOPLE IN CANADA WORRY ABOUT MAKING RENT ON OCTOBER 1st.

This election is about housing. Let’s demand that all parties put forward solutions to Canada’s housing and homelessness crisis. No one in Canada should ever have to choose between food and rent, or worry if their kids will be homeless when school starts. This is solvable. It’s time we fixed it once and for all.

Tell the candidates campaigning for your vote that you are voting for housing.

The clock is ticking: We need to act now

The clock is ticking: We need to act now

Housing is THE federal election issue. As it well should be.

But in a country as prosperous as Canada, 5 million people should not be worried about paying their housing costs next month.

There has to be urgent and substantive action from the federal government to address the scale of the housing crisis being experienced by millions of Canadians.

Vote Housing is advocating that political parties a) understand the real scope of the problem and b) choose proven policies to solve them. We have released our election platform: SOLVABLE: Our Plan to End Homelessness and Address Housing Need in Canada. Our platform not only outlines an achievable path for federal leadership on ending homelessness and addressing housing need, it sets a benchmark for you to measure the party platforms against.

Tell party leaders and your local candidates that solving the housing crisis should be a top priority.
